331 is where it begins...

Happy almost birthday to me!! It might not be my birthday quite yet, but I still started celebrating last night since it was the start of my birthday weekend :) My mom and I met up with my aunt and uncle at 331, a local bar/restaurant. We tend to meet for happy every couple weeks anyways, but this time we actually had a purpose: my 22nd birthday! Since it was happy hour, we obviously had drinks and split appetizers: cheese curds and shoestring onions. Both were really yummy. The cheese curds were almost fair worthy, minus the grease. For those that haven't had shoestring onions, they are tiny onion strings batter-fried to look like shoe laces. I'm not a big fan of onions or onion rings, but shoestrings are really yummy. Since we were celebrating my birthday, I got a free slice of chocolate cake. It was some of the best chocolate cake I have ever had! 3 layers of chocolate cake with thick and creamy chocolate frosting in between the layers and on top and along the side. There was also whipped cream and strawberry slices. It was AMAZING! :) Tonight is birthday bingo. Let's hope for a win! I could use some extra cash right now.
