Garage Sale

Yesterday and today have been spent at my sister's house for an end-of-the-summer garage sale. Her house is a PERFECT location, or so we thought. Yesterday was pretty slow, but we still made some money. We were hoping today would be better with it being Friday. Also, there were 3 other sales in the area, so that would have to draw a crowd, right? Wrong. Today was even slower than yesterday! Her and I both passed the boredum by reading. I read 200 pages in my book between the 2 days. I only have a couple chapters left! I have NEVER read a book that fast before. Then again, I have never had that much free time either. Anyways, we didn't sell a whole lot, so looks like there will be another sale before winter hits.

And now to the best, or in my case worst, part of the story. During clean-up, everyone--meaning my sister, my mom and i--was pretty annoyed cuz we were all hungry and sad due to the poor turnout. I just shrugged it off cuz I was too hungry to care. But my mom isn't quite that strong. My sister was too tired to not shrug it off, which she had every right after being up since 2am last night. Anyways, clean-up turned into a fight so we never went out to eat. The plan was to go to Buffalo Wild Wings after cleaning-up. But it didn't happen cuz my dad got annoyed quickly and left, forcing my mom to be even crabbier. And by then I wanted nothing to do with anyone. So my dinner became a bowl of cottage cheese and mandarin oranges. At least it was healthy.

Once again, I say that I can't wait until I'm out of this house. I am driving myself insane with most thanks to my mom and her crazy undiagnosed mental issues. I know it would be rushing it, but I really hope I can land a job and be out of here in October. *crossing my fingers* Or have a miracle that allows my parents to actually get along. But I have been waiting for that since age 6. I'm 21 now and it hasn't gotten any better, so I see no hope for that.
