Lover's Weekend
So normally this weekend would have been spent with that "special someone." But I'm not luckily enough to have one, so I worked this weekend (go figure). After work on Saturday, I took Taffy over to Petco for Valentine pictures. Sadly, Bacon wasn't up for a car ride or staying at work for the morning. Anyways, Taffy and I ventured to Petco. She got her picture taken and a heart-covered bandanna. The picture came in the form of a valentine that says "Be Mine." It was a great valentine present from my dog, even if I had to bring her there to get it done and pay for it. It was still very cute. The rest of the day wasn't too exciting until dinner. Since my dad hasn't been up to leaving the house since his surgery, I decided to make a festive dinner for my parents. It consisted of heart pasta chicken alfredo, ruby red gelatin, and pink bubbly punch. I must say, it was delicious! And that's not just because I made it. We had heart cookies and choco-cherry cupcakes for dessert, in addition to chocolate-covered love fortune cookies. My mom and I decided to keep it festive the next morning: pink chocolate chip pancakes and pink eggs. And of course, pink milk! So, sure, it would have been nice to have that "special someone" to spend time with this weekend. But, you don't need one to have a good valentine's day. All you need is people, or animals, that love you and love to spend time with you. Hope you all have a good weekend!
